We travel to Falmouth.
Once a fishing port, Falmouth is now an attractive resort and among the attractions is the excellent National Maritime Museum.
We visit the charming seaside resort of St Ives with its cobbled streets, full of history, legend and tradition, winding between pretty fishermans' cottages.
St Ives is also known for its artistic connections, the Tate Gallery opened a branch in 1993 here and looks after the Barbara Hepworth Museum and sculpture garden.
We visit the cathedral city of Truro. Later we travel to Charlestown, near St Austell.
This picturesque Grade II listed harbour doubled for Truro Harbour in ‘Poldark’. Dating from the late 18th century, there are usually historic vessels in port and there is a fascinating Shipwreck Centre.
We return to this pleasant family-owned and run hotel in an elegant Queen Anne house, set in well maintained secluded gardens in unspoilt St Agnes.
There are quiet lounge areas and the restaurant serves excellent food.
The hotel is very highly rated by our clients.
There are two floors and whilst there is no lift, there are ground floor rooms (subject to availability).
